PM Narendra Modi Takes a Walk On the Countrys Longest Bridge
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s longest river bridge in Assam on May 26. After the inauguration, the Prime Minister took a walk on the bridge and dedicated it to the people of Assam. The Dhola -Sadiya Bridge which is capable of withstanding 60-tonne battle tank will be very close to China border. The event was also attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

The construction of this bridge was announced as an attempt by India to shore up its defence requirements along the Sino-Indian border particularly in the Northeast besides providing easy access to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam with air and rail connectivity.
